| | | CHRISTMAS AND "BABYLON THE GREAT"
CHRISTMAS AND "BABYLON THE GREAT" What is the Connection ? The Bible identifies False Religion as a woman called "Babylon The Great". Her religious doctrines, teachings, beliefs and Holidays are based upon the Center from which all False Religion began, "Ancient Babylon". It was under the influence of NIMROD - who declared himself to be god - that all these false teachings began. For he was a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah God, our Creator. "...Nim´rod....He displayed himself a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah...." (Genesis 10:8,9)(NWT) "...Nimrod....He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah..." (Genesis 10:8,9)(ASV)-BibleGateway "Now it was Nimrod who excited them to such an affront and contempt of God." -Josephus (c. 37 – c. 100 AD/CE),
"His name is Nimrod, It means ‘the rebel,’ and is evidently meant to designate the nature of the man. He was the first specimen of giant tyranny after the flood. His Defiance of Jehovah was perpetrated in wickedness and ambition under the very eye of Jehovah. Nimrod's assumptions were religious as well as political. Nimrod presented himself not only for obedience but also for worship. His awful greatness was of ambitious rebellion, apostasy and defiance of Jehovah. And as it was Babel that was the beginning of his empire, so is ‘Babylon the great’ its consummation and close." -Nimrod by Horatius Bonar 1808-1889 "As the people increased in number, the Way of Jehovah was corrupted and a principal figure in those days was Nimrod, the grandson of Ham described as a mighty hunter before Jehovah. The word 'before' used in this sense means, 'totally antagonistic to Jehovah.' We celebrate Christmas on a date which coincides with the birthday of Nimrod - the villainous king of ancient Babylon." -The Ensign Trust VOLUME I No.2 - JUNE 1999 'NARROW IS THE WAY' By Harry Lancaster
Amont those false teachings that are part of "Babylon The Great" - are the "trinity" doctrine, Hellfire torment, Easter, and Christmas. This article is focusing upon the Christmas Holiday and it's Nimrod-connection. Indeed, even scholars recognize that Christmas came from Ancient Babylon, and has no connection with the Birth of Christ who was born during a much warmer season. Scholars Identify "Babylon The Great" with CHRISTMAS "Nimrod started the great organized worldly apostasy from God that has dominated this world until now. Nimrod married his own mother, whose name was Semiramis. After Nimrod's death, his so-called mother-wife, Semiramis, propagated the evil doctrine of the survival of Nimrod as a spirit being. She claimed a full-grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, which symbolized the springing forth unto new life of the dead Nimrod. On each anniversary of his birth, she claimed, Nimrod would visit the evergreen tree and leave gifts upon it. December 25th, was the birthday of Nimrod. This is the real origin of the Christmas tree." -The Plain Truth About Christmas by David J. Stewart | December 24th, 2005 "The real origin of Christmas goes back to ancient Babylon. It is bound up in the organized apostasy with which Satan has gripped a deceived world these many centuries! In Egypt, it was always believed that the son of Iris (Egyptian name for "Queen of Heaven") was born December 25th. Semiramis also bore the title "Queen of Heaven" - and she was Nimrod's mother. Paganism celebrated this famous birthday over most of the known world for centuries before the birth of Christ." -The Plain Truth About Christmas by David J. Stewart | December 24th, 2005 "Christmas as a pagan holiday traces back thousands of years before to a man named Nimrod, founder of ancient pagan Babylon." -Christmas Unwrapped From the History Channel by Alan Mansager "Babylon’s false worship is found today in every nation and in some aspect in nearly all religions, including present day christianity." -Christmas Unwrapped From the History Channel by Alan Mansager "Egyptian and Babylonian antiquities identify Nimrod's mother as Semiramis, and his birthday was celebrated on 25th December." -The True Meaning of Christmas by Mike Gascoigne; 1996 "Thus began the worship of Semiramis and the child-god, and the whole paraphanalia of the Babylonian religious system." -The True Meaning of Christmas by Mike Gascoigne; 1996 "The Roman Pagans used to celebrate the birthday of their child-god on 25th December, and the Roman Catholic Church sought to win over as many people as possible to nominal Catholicism by proclaiming the same day to be the birthday of Jesus. So the Pagans had no difficulty worshipping the Catholic Madonna and child. They were seen as yet another manifestation of the Babylonian Queen of Heaven (Semiramis)and her son (Nimrod). The Pagans made no compromises, they didn't need to, they just continued their Pagan worship within the church." -The True Meaning of Christmas by Mike Gascoigne; 1996 "While it's easy to knock the Catholic Church because of their Maryolatry, the Protestants cannot be left off the hook. The Protestant Reformation dispensed with only a part of the Babylonian system of worship. The celebration of Christmas, inherited from the Roman Catholic Church, via Pagan Rome, via Egypt, via Babylon, is still practiced as the most important event in the Protestant Christian calendar, so from that point of view the Protestants are as much into Paganism as the Catholics." -The True Meaning of Christmas by Mike Gascoigne; 1996 "The Christmas tree is specifically a Babylonian symbol. On Christmas Eve the Yule Log is thrown onto the fire. On Christmas Day there is the tree, covered in decorations and surrounded with presents, representing the resurrected Nimrod of Babylon." -The True Meaning of Christmas by Mike Gascoigne; 1996 "FOR MANY years Christmas and other major holidays, such as Easter, Halloween, etc., have been portrayed as having a Christian origin, yet they all have their common origins in Ancient Babylon." -The True Origin of Christmas and Other Holidays Who Was Really Born On December 25? The Gilead Institute of America "December 25 was highly honored and recognized by Nimrod's supporters...Many centuries later this pagan custom was "Christianized" as being the birthday of Christ." -The True Origin of Christmas and Other Holidays Who Was Really Born On December 25? The Gilead Institute of America
"Today, the celebrated holiday known as Christmas, will actually find its roots in ancient Babylon. Christmas is a pagan holiday, which was first formed by Semiramis, the mother-wife of Nimrod. This became a holiday after Semiramis indoctrinated it into the Babylonish government upon the death of Nimrod." -Seven Seals Publication The True History of Christmas An Excerpt From: “The Biography of Noble Drew Ali The Exhuming Of A Nation” "Nimrod’s birth date was December 25th. This never was the birth date of Jesus, son of Joseph by Mary; nor does any Holy Book support this idea." -Seven Seals Publication The True History of Christmas An Excerpt From: “The Biography of Noble Drew Ali The Exhuming Of A Nation” "The Christmas tree custom is also a pagan tradition stemming from Nimrod’s mother in her attempt to immortalize her son." -Seven Seals Publication The True History of Christmas An Excerpt From: “The Biography of Noble Drew Ali The Exhuming Of A Nation” "December 25th was celebrated as Baal or Nimrod's birthday. By tradition, this birthday celebration became an integral part of every human culture, based on this pagan idolatry. Generally, all mankind is fast asleep, dreaming this old Babylonian dream. Christmas was an attempt by Catholicism to revise and adopt this paganism." -The Story Of Nimrod, As It Relates To Christmas And Easter by Wilhelm J Wolfaardt "Scripture itself demands that we observe the Messiah's death, and not His birth. But, since the pagan mind was so oriented around fertility and birth, it developed the way we see it today, blending the most important features of pagan interpretation. "Babel, the Great Mother of Harlots and of the Abominations of the Earth" -- has intoxicated the masses." -The Story Of Nimrod, As It Relates To Christmas And Easter by Wilhelm J Wolfaardt "Christmas as a pagan holiday traces back thousands of years to a man named Nimrod, founder of ancient pagan Babylon. Nimrod began a counterfeit religion in the Book of Genesis. The Bible refers to it as the religion of Mystery Babylon — the mother of false religion that will be destroyed when the Savior Jesus comes to set up His throne on earth, Revelation 18. Babylon’s false worship is found today in some aspect in nearly all religions, including christendom." - Nimrod: The Grandfather of Paganism Yahweh's Restoration Ministries "Jesus Christ was NOT born on December 25. But December 25th can be traced back to Genesis and a man named Nimrod. Nimrod was the founder of a great false religious system that began in ancient Babylon that has always opposed the truths of God. It’s time we face facts! This world is deceived, just as God prophesied it would be (Rev. 12:9). Satan is the power behind this deception. Satan has successfully pawned off the old customs of the Babylonian mystery religion as being pleasing to Jesus Christ." - Why Christmas is (Not)So Important to God By Carl Hilliker and Mark Jenkins December 2002 article in; The Trumpet "The book of Revelation is an end-time book. In chapter 17 we are told that Jesus Christ will one day pass judgment upon a “great whore” bearing the title mystery, babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth (v. 5). This is the great false Babylonian religious system that Nimrod founded and its many false religious variations or denominations throughout the world!" - Why Christmas is (Not)So Important to God By Carl Hilliker and Mark Jenkins December 2002 article in; The Trumpet "Can there be any doubt what Jesus Christ thinks of this church? Every inhabitant of Earth has been made to suffer to one degree or another by the deceptions created by its “abominations.” Revelation 18:4 carries this plea: “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Right now, God is sending out that same warning message to all who will listen: Come out of all these pagan practices disguised as Christianity. Don’t partake any longer of those sins. The celebration of Christmas and its customs is just one of those sins. It seems harmless, but those who stay in such deception will eventually have to face the wrath of Jesus Christ." - Why Christmas is (Not)So Important to God By Carl Hilliker and Mark Jenkins December 2002 article in; The Trumpet "It is no wonder that Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.“ Popular opinion should not prevent individuals who know the truth from turning away from a festival season steeped in paganism. Jesus said that, in order to be His disciples, there would be times when we would need to forsake the desires of our family and friends and follow Him (Luke 14:26-27). - Why Christmas is (Not)So Important to God By Carl Hilliker and Mark Jenkins December 2002 article in; The Trumpet "God does give us a command to memorialize Jesus Christ: He commands us to observe the day of Christ’s death (i Cor. 11:24-27)—NOT His birth. You now have a choice: You can continue keeping Christmas year after year, accepting the influence of your family, friends, neighbors and Nimrod, or you can accept the commands of the Eternal God by learning more about HIM." - Why Christmas is (Not)So Important to God By Carl Hilliker and Mark Jenkins December 2002 article in; The Trumpet "Lent, Easter and Christmas are of Babylonian origin." -EASTER AND CHRISTMAS PAGANISM 2000 B.C. TO DATE by Edward Stevens (1895-1966) "Christmas" festivities are not just "pre-Christian"— dating to pagan worship of the sun god—but they in fact have NO connection to the date of birth of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ." -Is Christmas Christian? Volume 6, Issue 6 By John H. Ogwyn "Almost every year, newspapers and magazines will publish articles pointing out that Christmas customs originate not from the Bible, but from pagan antiquity. Most readers, when faced with these facts, simply say: "I don’t see what difference it makes," and continue with their Christmas preparations. Instead of seeking to put Christ back into Christmas, we must acknowledge that He was never there in the first place! Christmas never was Christian! True Christians will give it back to the pagans. We ought to take our religious customs and practices directly from the Bible. Then we will be worshiping our Creator in spirit and truth, just as He teaches us to do (John 4:24)." -Is Christmas Christian? Volume 6, Issue 6 By John H. Ogwyn In Conclusion -
What else can be said about Christmas and "Babylon the Great" that has not already been covered by the above secular quotes ? Many say, "but I do it for my children." Others may say, "but I do it for my parents." But Listen to what Jesus Says - Jesus said, "...anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." (Matthew 10:37b)(NIV)-BibleGateway "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me...." (Matthew 10:37a)(NIV)-BibleGateway Jesus said - "Stand up for me against world opinion and I'll stand up for you before my Father in heaven." (Matthew 10:32)(MSG)-BibleGateway
Jesus said - "He who loves and takes more pleasure in father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves and takes more pleasure in son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me." (Matthew 10:37)(AMP)-BibleGateway

| | | ROME - Pagan Gods and Goddesses Worshipped under the guise of Christian Saints
Saint Brigid was named after one of the most powerful goddesses of the Pagan religion
"Probably the clearest example of the survival of an early goddess into Christian times is Brigid, the great triple goddess of the Celtic Irish. Bridget took religious vows, ...and was canonized after her death by her adoptive church, which allowed the saint a curious list of attributes, coincidentally identical to those of the earlier goddess." -Exerpt from Goddess & Heroines by Patricia Monaghan "Brigit is a goddess who survived the onslaught of Christianity. So great was the love of the Irish people for this deity, that they retained all Her characteristics as a Christian saint! They would have none of Christianity if they couldn't keep Brigit. So the Catholic church had no choice but to make her a saint. She is a triple Goddess. This triple aspect of the Goddess is where Christians got the idea of the Trinity." -Brigit, the Goddess Who Would Not Die by Joan Lansberry
"The three-leaf shamrock was originally of "The Three Mothers", as well as the three phases of the moon being her symbols. She shares some attributes with the ancient Greek triple Goddess Hecate. Into the 18th Century, her sacred flame was tended, at first, by priestesses, and later by nuns, when the shrine became a convent, at Kildare, Ireland." -Brigit, the Goddess Who Would Not Die by Joan Lansberry
"Although the Christian religion is monotheistic and all replies to prayers are said to come from the grace of Jehovah, in practice, prayers to Jesus and the Holy Spirit...and prayers to The Virgin Mary have a long history of popular usage dating back to pre-Christian European Goddess-centered paganism." - PATRON SAINTS for various OCCUPATIONS and CONDITIONS compiled by catherine yronwode from Catholic Church and Folk Sources
"As in most religions, the honoured dead of Christianity -- real or fictitious men and women known for their piety -- are referred to as "saints". In what some scholars believe was an attempt to appeal to pagans who worshipped various polytheistic pantheons." - PATRON SAINTS for various OCCUPATIONS and CONDITIONS compiled by catherine yronwode from Catholic Church and Folk Sources
"Many Catholics address the Virgin Mary with direct prayers and do not ask her to intercede on their behalfs with Jehovah, but although this is a common practice, technically speaking, Mary is not a deity..." - PATRON SAINTS for various OCCUPATIONS and CONDITIONS compiled by catherine yronwode from Catholic Church and Folk Sources
"Paganism survived...in the form of ancient rites and customs condoned, or accepted AND transformed, by an often indulgent Church. And intimate and trustful worship of saints replaced the cult of pagan gods..." -(Ralph Woodrow, Babylon Mystery Religion: Ancient and Modern).
"The Virgin [Mary] was given the title Queen of Heaven and is depicted wearing a blue robe decorated with stars and standing on a crescent Moon. This image is almost identical to pagan representations of the goddess of love Ishtar who was worshipped by the Babylonians." -(Michael Howard, The Occult Conspiracy: The Power of Secret Societies in World History [NY, NY: MFJ Books, 1989], p. 22).
"Pagan gods were made Christian saints. Bacchus became St. Bacchus, and Dionysius became St. Denys or Denis." -(Charles G. Berger, Our Phallic Heritage [NY, NY: Greenwich Book Publishers, Inc., 1966], p. 154-155).
"As paganism and Christianity were MERGED.... The modern Pontifex Maximus [the Pope of Rome] ...preserved the name, the attributes, the pageantry, the pride, and even the garb of that high PAGAN priest...." -(Ralph Woodrow, Babylon Mystery Religion: Ancient and Modern). pages 27-28
"Some pre-Christian deities are alleged to have been adopted as saints. Some cults seem to have been Christianized fairly directly- -for example, it is often asserted...that Saint Brigid was a goddess before Christianity ever reached Ireland." -Definition of "Saint"-Historicity Word-IQ Encyclopedia Finding the cult of Brigit impossible to eradicate, the Catholic church canonized her as a saint, calling her Bridget or Bride. The Roman Catholic church adsorbed much of Celtic religion and many pagan gods and goddesses became Roman Catholic saints. "Actually, Brigid is a triple goddess... As a triple goddess, she's sometimes linked with...the mother goddess in many pantheons. Brigid was one of the leading goddesses in Ireland when Christianity came to the country, so she was transformed into "St. Brigid"..." - Celtic History, Faeries, and Magickal Places Bridget, Brighid, Bride, etc. by fiona broome, (c)2004 "Brigit was one of the most widely worshiped goddesses in the Celtic Britain, and traditionally she is seen as the goddess of smithing, creativity, healing, wisdom, fertility, and childbirth. Some scholars believe that Brigid is the Celtic equivalent of the Roman goddess Minerva, and it is possible that the worship of the two became amalgamated in Roman Britain. Brigid was eventually Christianised and adapted into the cult of St Brigit, who founded a religious community at Kildare in Ireland. A perpetual fire was kept burning at her nunnery." -The Pantheons of British Mythology Brigid/Bridget/Brighid/Bride
"Saint Brigid was named after one of the most powerful goddesses of the Pagan religion... Brigid supposedly became a vestal virgin in service to the Goddess Brigid. -Bridgid of Ireland Encyclopedia; The freeDictionary.com
"Scratch a bit at the thin topsoil of Irish Catholicism, and you soon come to the solid bedrock of Irish paganism." -FINDING THE GODDESS IN IRELAND By Patricia Monaghan, author The Landscape of Celtic Myth and Spirit "The old ways were seamlessly bonded to the new, so that ancient rituals continued, ancient divinities became saints." -FINDING THE GODDESS IN IRELAND By Patricia Monaghan, author The Landscape of Celtic Myth and Spirit
"Official saint making, or canonization by the Vatican, did not start until the 11th century, but as early as the 2nd century, the veneration of saints by the ex-pagan populace was in full swing." -Beer Saints: With Beer On Their Side by Theresa O'Shea Volume 22 Number 6 January 2002 Feature
"The spirit animating the ancient pagan religions had to satisfy itself henceforth with images of the Virgin and the saints, and with relic-worship, which, from this time (the end of the 4th century), began to progress by leaps and bounds." --E. Belfort Bax The Decay of Pagan Thought (January 1890) "The countless host of divinities – both gods and goddesses – possessed a legitimate place in the divine hierarchy of the pagans. The transition from this to angel and saint-worship was obviously easy. The writings of Proclus, the last great Pagan theologian, which formulate this view of the Pagan gods, were adopted and became the basis of the mediaeval catholic theology." -E. Belfort Bax The Decay of Pagan Thought (January 1890)
"Astrology and magic had also existed as the peculiar function of the Chaldeans and Babylonians from a very early period, and later passed on to the Graeco-Roman world. Charms, amulets, and spells became a common belief in the 3rd and 4th centuries. The prevailing cults and pagan philosophies had in all of them their theory of magic. As a matter of course, Christianity absorbed this tendency. The miracles of saints, the magical powers of relics, and of the sign of the cross...in the course of time absorbed the more obviously Pagan magic of the fourth century." --E. Belfort Bax The Decay of Pagan Thought (January 1890)
"Polytheistic pagan religions assign deities to magical and lucky functions. Our modern era has many examples of deities and saints being marketed as "lucky figures" of one kind or another or being considered protective to their owners. In addition, some polytheistic cultures have deities specifically designated as luck gods for different events or illnesses. The Catholic Church has produced an official list of Patron Saints for various occupations and conditions." -GODS AND SAINTS AS LUCKY FIGURES Catherine Yronwode

| The "Vestal Virgins" of pagan Rome and the "Nuns" of Catholic Rome What is the Connection ? The Above picture - shows Catholic Nuns Dancing around the Pagan Altar of the Taj Mahoney - in The Novus Ordo Cathedral of Los Angeles.
One is left to wonder, how the Vestal Virgins of Ancient Pagan Rome - may have done the same.
The "Vestal Virgins" of pagan Rome and the "Nuns" of Catholic Rome What is the Connection ? Who Were The Vestal Virgins ? The Goddess "Vesta" "Vesta, in pagan Roman religion, was the goddess of the hearth, identified with the Greek "Hestia"... Her worship was observed in every household and her image was sometimes encountered in the household shrine. The Temple of Vesta in the Roman Forum was where there burned the perpetual fire of the public hearth attended by the Vestal Virgins. In addition to the shrine itself stood the magnificent Atrium Vestae. This name was originally given to the whole sacred area comprising the Temple of Vesta, a sacred grove, the Regia (headquarters of the pontifex maximus, or chief priest), and the House of the Vestal." -(Encyclopedia Britannica, under Topic - Vesta, Hestia, Std.Ver.1999)
"Vesta’s fire burned at the highest place in Rome, right next to the sacred trees and the seat of the Pontifex Maximus. The celibate nuns (of Catholic Rome) are none other than the continuance of the vestal virgins." -The Dark Powers That Bind - Destiner Press Titles Section 6. ROME by Peter Dunstan "Each Roman family had some sort of statuette or tribute to the goddess Vesta situated somewhere near the fireplace at home. The flame of the hearth would be "fed" with wood and during meals crumbs of bread would be thrown into the fire also." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
"The goddess Vesta was worshipped not only in the home but also in a circular temple in the Forum. It was a circular construction with a hole in the top of the roof to allow smoke to escape. Within the temple there was an altar with a flame which continually burned as well as a number of relics which were thought to influence the destiny of Rome." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
"In the earliest days the temple was a simple hut made of straw and mud but this was later replaced by a brick and marble building. The earliest foundations are in Tufa rock - a sort of porous chrystalised earth of volcanic origin which abounds in the area around Rome. The temple was rebuilt after the great fire of Rome during the reign of Nero (64AD) and was rebuilt a second time a century later." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
"The buildings were two or three stories high and they enclosed a rectangular courtyard, which was decorated with the statues of the high-priestesses of the past. Portions of these buildings are still visible and a few of the statues which decorated the cloister are still there. I seem to remember that the pedestals of the statues bear names but that one, who must have dishonored the order has had her name obliterated, possibly because she converted to Christianity." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
The Vestal Virgins
The Vestal Virgins
"The Vestal Virgins of pagan Rome wore the cross suspended from their necklaces, as the nuns of the Roman Catholic church do now.” -book Babylon Mystery Religion, (p. 51).
"Women had long played an important role in Roman religion. Vestal virgins, who were priestesses of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth, kept the sacred fire burning at Vesta's temple in the Roman Forum. They lived in an elaborate house near the temple and occupied a place of honor at public ceremonies." -Encyclopedia Britannica Online Vestal Virgins in Ancient Rome "The Vestal Virgins were the priestesses of the goddess Vesta: the goddess of the hearth and life whose symbol was the fire of the hearth. The ancient roman writer Ovid tells us that Vesta was synonymous with "Fire" although in other passages he relates her to "Earth". Virgil reconciles the two attributes by observing that Fire, the natural heat through which all things are produced is enclosed in the Earth." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
"The Vestal priestesses slept and lived in buildings just behind the temple. Rather than the simple cells one might imagine the Vestals actually lived in apartments which recent excavations indicate to have been supplied with hot water (suggesting a degree of comfort). The work of the priestesses was aided by a number of servants and slaves who lived in the same complex." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
"The priestesses or "Vestal Virgins" were similar to nuns living in a semi-enclosed order and they spent most of their time in the central cloister. The youngest were admitted to the Order between 6-10 years of age and they could expect to remain "in service" for as long as 30 years. In fact they were taken by force by the Pontifex Maximus (high priest of Rome) from their parents. The first 10 years of life in the Vestal community were spent as Novices, obliged to learn the ceremonies and perfect themselves in the duties of their religion. During the following ten years they would become priestesses who actually discharged the priestly functions. During the last ten years of service they would become the teachers of the Novices below them." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia "Once the priestesses had completed the 30 years of their term they were free to leave the Order...although leaving the order was felt to be unlucky and therefore rarely happened." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia "Within society the Vestals held a position of great honour and had many privileges. However the Vestal virgins were also under the constant threat of a series of more or less severe punishments. Cases which were not so severe would be punished at the discretion of the Pontifex Maximus - the high priest of Rome (the Pope so to speak) which during the Empire was the Emperor himself." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia
The Vestal Virgins and the Nuns
"The Pontifex Maximus continues to the present day as an office of the higher order in the Catholic Church. The Church, wisely trying to keep the general population with a sense of familiarity, readily adopted the use of convents and position of nuns that held many of the same rules and customs as the Vestal Virgins. " -UNRV HISTORY; The Roman Empire "Vestal Virgins" by Chris Heaton
"Ancient Greek traditions had always attributed prophetic power to virgins. Unsullied virginity commanded certain powers: hence, the consecration of the vestal virgins, and later the Catholic Nuns." -The Washington Post Sisters in Arms Catholic Nuns Through Two Millennia By Jo Ann Kay McNamara
"There were nuns in ancient Egypt as well as in Peru and old Pagan Rome. They were the "virgin brides" of their respective (Solar) gods. Says Herodotus, "The brides of Ammon are excluded from all intercourse with men"," - Spiritual Theosophical Dictionary on "Nuns" "The vestal virgins in Rome, and the virgins of the sun in Peru, witnessed to a sense of the sanctity of religious virginity, and were thus the forerunners of Catholic nuns (derived from paganism)." -Some Thoughts on Catholic Apologetics: pg 43 A Plea for Interpretation- Comparative Religion By Edward Ingram Watkin
"The priestesses or "Vestal Virgins" were similar to nuns living in a semi-enclosed order and they spent most of their time in the central cloister." -Antiquities of Rome The Vestal Virgins and the Goddess Vesta Mariamalani written by Giovanni Milani-Santarpia Celibacy in Religion "CELIBACY, the deliberate abstinence from sexual activity. Most institutional female celibates are nuns in residential cloisters."
Judaism is an example of one religion which has NOT practiced celibacy at all. On the contrary, a marriage with children is regarded as itself a sacred duty. In the time of the Temple, even the High Priest was expected to be married and single men were prohibited from holding a variety of important offices. Some ancient pagan religions reserved particular religious offices for celibate people - one famous example would be the Vestal Virgins in Rome. These women had to remain celibate for 30 years while they served the perpetual fire in the Atrium of Vesta. Celibacy was also common among different cults dedicated to nature incarnated as the Great Mother.
"Mandatory celibacy for priests and nuns... over the course of centuries assumed the force of ecclesiastical law." -Time Magazine Religion: Celibacy- -Jewel or Crown of Thorns- Monday, Feb 23,1970
"Although Jesus himself was not married; biblical scholars assume that most of his disciples were married, since the Judaism of the time frowned upon bachelorhood." -Time Magazine Religion: Celibacy- -Jewel or Crown of Thorns- Monday, Feb 23,1970 "At the urging of Popes and councils, monastic austerity (celibacy) was gradually forced upon the clergy as a whole. Pope Benedict VIII in 1018 formally forbade priestly marriages; the prohibition was solemnly extended by the First Lateran Council of 1123. The Council of Trent imposed excommunication on priests or nuns who violated the canon laws prohibiting marriage." -Time Magazine Religion: Celibacy- -Jewel or Crown of Thorns- Monday, Feb 23,1970 "It is an undeniable fact that celibacy is supported by nearly 1,000 years of Catholic ecclesiastical tradition." -Time Magazine Religion: Celibacy- -Jewel or Crown of Thorns- Monday, Feb 23,1970
"Married clergy were banned at the first and second Lateran Councils (1123 and 1139). " "Romans believed the fire should never go out. A priestess-hood of specially chosen women (all virgins) were devoted to Vesta and supervised her worship (and the flame of her hearth). Romans called these women the Vestal Virgins. It seems that this group was created to fulfill these religious duties. Vestal Virgins enjoyed great respect from Romans of every station - think of the way most folks think of nuns, and how they treat them. " -Roman Civilization CMS 206 /History 206 Vestalia Bates College; MARGARET IMBER
"In ancient Roman religion, the Vestal Virgins were the priestesses of Rome's oldest Goddess-matriarch, Vesta. They were sworn to chastity as they were the brides of the spirit of Rome. Vestals underwent the same ceremony that was later applied to nuns." -3TEN; HAUSTUDIO Diane Hause
"In Scandinavia, the priestesses of Freya, whose duty it was to watch the sacred fire, and who were bound to perpetual virginity, were just an order of nuns." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns
"In Athens there were virgins maintained at the public expense, who were strictly bound to single life. In Pagan Rome, the Vestal virgins, who had the same duty to perform as the priestesses of (the goddess) Freya, occupied a similar position." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns
"Even in Peru, during the reign of the Incas, the same system prevailed, and showed so remarkable an analogy, as to indicate that the Vestals of Rome, the nuns of the Papacy, and the Holy Virgins of Peru, must have sprung from a common origin." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns "Thus does Prescott refer to the Peruvian nunneries: "Another singular analogy with Roman Catholic institutions is presented by the virgins of the sun, the elect, as they were called. These were young maidens dedicated to the service of the deity, who at a tender age were taken from their homes, and introduced into convents, where they were placed under the care of certain elderly matrons who had grown grey within their walls." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns "It was their duty to watch over the sacred fire obtained at the festival of Raymi. From the moment they entered the establishment (convent) they were cut off from all communication with the world, even with their own family and friends..." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns
"One is astonished," adds Prescott, "to find so close a resemblance between the institutions of the American Indian, the ancient Roman, and the modern Catholic." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns
"Woe to the unhappy maiden who was detected in an intrigue! by the stern law of the Incas she was to be buried alive. This was precisely the fate of the Roman Vestal who was proved to have violated her vow. Neither in Peru, however, nor in Pagan Rome was the obligation to virginity so stringent as in the Papacy. In all these cases, however, it is plain that the principle on which these institutions were founded was originally the same." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns
"The term Nun itself is a Chaldean (Babylonian) word. Ninus, the son in Chaldee is either Nin or Non. Now, the feminine of Non, a "son," is Nonna, a "daughter," which is just the Popish canonical name for a "Nun," and Nonnus, in like manner, was in early times the designation for a monk in the East." -The Two Babylons' Alexander Hislop Chapter VI; Section II Priests, Monks, and Nuns The "Worship" of Fire Originated in Ancient Babylon
Vesta, Hestia, and the Hearth
"Fire-worship in Graeco-Roman tradition had two separate forms: fire of the hearth and fire of the forge. Hearth worship was maintained in Rome by the Vestal Virgins, who served the goddess Vesta, protector of the home, who had a sacred flame as the symbol of her presence in the city. The Greek equivalent of the goddess was Hestia, whose worship is less well attested." -Fire Worship From Wikipedia; the free encyclopedia
"The Greek goddess Hestia is associated with the warmth and comfort of the welcoming fireplace. The hearth of every home honors Hestia." -Goddess Gift by Sharon Turnbull, Ph.D. Hestia, Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home "The living flame of Hestia was tended constantly and never allowed to die out. When new “subdivisions” were developed, fire was carried from the town’s hearth to light the fire of the new community, assuring its prosperity." -Goddess Gift by Sharon Turnbull, Ph.D. Hestia, Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home "Every home had a hearth that was dedicated to the goddess "Hestia". The Goddess Hestia intended that homes should be built from the center out, with the center being a hearth that contained her sacred flame." -Goddess Gift by Sharon Turnbull, Ph.D. Hestia, Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home
"There was an altar to Hestia in the center of every home...it was the fireplace, the hearth, where the family gathered to honor the goddess, Hestia." -Goddess Gift by Sharon Turnbull, Ph.D. Hestia, Greek Goddess of Hearth and Home
"The Sacred fire of the goddess Vesta, who in Roman mythology was the goddess of the hearth and goddess of fire, and of smoke was central to Roman piety." -The Roman goddess Vesta Wikipedia Encyclopedia
"Subtly...the old gods had entered their churches... And they live still in the festivals of Christianity." -(Testament: The Bible and History, Romer, 1988, pp. 230-31)
Many pagan religious and spiritual traditions of the world, honor fire and the role of the fire tender or fire keeper. "Fire was sacred to the ancient Celts. The domestic hearth-fire was never allowed to die. Druids used sacred fires for divination. The hearth-fire was the center of Celtic Religious and family activity."
"The fireplace in every home was especially sacred to the god THOR, and he was said to come down through the chimney into his element, the fire." - -Francis X. Weiser, (Catholic Priest) Handbook of Christian Feasts and Customs (New York: Harcourt, Brace and World, Inc., 1958) "In Northern Europe One of the gods that these pagans had was a god they called Thor. Since Thor’s element was fire, he was made into the god for the Yule tide. Thor was a friendly god and during the Yule tide season, he delivered presents through the chimney because the hearth, being used for fire, was especially sacred to him." -The Origins — By Sheila Ayala Origins of Christmas, "THOR" "The god - "Thor" was dressed in red in keeping with his association with fire." -The Origins — By Sheila Ayala Origins of Christmas, "THOR"
"It seems the "chimney tale" came to us via Thor, the mythical god of fire and lightning. Satan and Thor are symbolized by the lightning bolt (Luke 10:18). Thor’s name means "thunder". The Thor story goes like this; Most families in the pre-patriarchal Scandinavian world would have an altar to Thor – their fireplace. Every year on his birthday, December 25th Thor would come down the chimney to his altar of fire, and bring presents to the kiddies." -Santa Claus; The great Imposter by Terry Watkins "Santa" was a common name for Nimrod throughout Asia Minor. This was also the same fire god who came down the chimneys of the ancient pagans." -Langer's Encyclopedia of World History, (article "Santa") "Traditionally, a yule log was burned in the fireplace on Christmas Eve. The yule log represented the sun-god Nimrod " --After Armageddon -Chapter 4 Where do we get our ideas? by John A. Sarkett "So our yule log (that we burn in the fireplace) has tremendous meaning, but NOT a Christian meaning. The yule log is the dead Nimrod, human ruler of ancient Babylon, who was eventually deified as the sun incarnate, and hence a god. " --After Armageddon -Chapter 4 Where do we get our ideas? by John A. Sarkett
"Fire" Worship and Satan
"Fire was worshiped at the very beginning; for Nimrod is singled out by the voice of antiquity as commencing the fire-worship" -The Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop, p. 226. "Fire-worship was only one form of sun-worship that was actually Satan worship. The worship of the serpent began side by side with the worship of fire and sun." -The Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop, p. 227. "From the very first chapters of the Bible, Satan is pictured as a serpent. And at the end, he is still pictured as a serpent. In Revelation 12:3, Satan is called "a great red dragon," which could also be translated 'a fiery dragon', 'fiery serpent', or 'serpent of fire.' " -THE HISTORY OF SUN-DAY WORSHIP By B. L. Cocherell
"This historical background is essential to understanding that Sun-worship (fire-worship) was the dominant religion in all the ancient civilizations, and that it spread from "Mother Babylon" into all countries: including India, China, Africa, Greece, Rome, Mexico, South America, Egypt, and Europe. Sun-worship (fire-worship) was a very prominent religion and Sunday was the main day of worship in the Roman empire by the time of Jesus Christ, just as it was in ancient Babylon." -THE HISTORY OF SUN-DAY WORSHIP By B. L. Cocherell
"In pagan Rome, this fire-worship and serpent-worship were sometimes separate, sometimes conjoined; but both occupied a preeminent place in Roman esteem." -The Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop, p. 226.
"Now if this worship of the sacred serpent, the great fire-god, was so universal in Rome, what symbol could more graphically portray the idolatrous power of pagan Imperial Rome than the 'Great Fiery Serpent?' No doubt it was to set forth this very thing that the Imperial standard itself - thestandard of the pagan Emperor of Rome, as Pontifex Maximus - head of the great system of fire-worship, was the serpent elevated on a lofty pole, and so colored as to exhibit it as a recognized symbol of fire-worship." -The Two Babylons, Alexander Hislop, p. 238.
"Along with the sun, as the great fire-god, and in due time, identified with him, the serpent was worshiped. 'In mythology of the primitive world,' says Owen, 'the serpent is universally the symbol of the sun (or fire).' In Egypt, one of the commonest symbols of the sun, or sun-god, is a disc with a serpent around it." -THE HISTORY OF SUN-DAY WORSHIP By B. L. Cocherell
"Then the word rendered "Red" properly means "Fiery"; so that the "Red Dragon" signifies the "Fiery Serpent" or "Serpent of Fire." Exactly so does it appear to have been in the first form of idolatry, that, under the patronage of Nimrod, appeared in the ancient world. The "Serpent of Fire" in the plains of Shinar seems to have been the grand object of worship. There is the strongest evidence that apostacy among the sons of Noah began in fire-worship, and that in connection with the symbol of the serpent." -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop "Nimrod is singled out by the voice of antiquity as commencing this fire-worship. Along with the sun, as the great fire-god, and, in due time, identified with him, was the serpent worshipped. The worship of the serpent began side by side with the worship of fire and the sun. " -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop "Nimrod of Ancient Babylon was the head of the fire-worshippers. The power, the popularity, and skill of Nimrod enabled him to spread the delusive doctrine far and wide, as he was represented under the well-known name of Phaethon, as on the point of "setting the whole world on fire," or of involving all mankind in the guilt of fire-worship." -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop
"The extraordinary prevalence of the worship of the fire-god in the early ages of the world, is proved by legends found over all the earth." -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop
"In Pagan Rome, this fire-worship and serpent-worship occupied a pre-eminent place in Roman esteem. The fire of Vesta was regarded as one of the grand safeguards of the empire, and was kept with the most jealous care by the Vestal virgins, who, for their charge of it, were honoured with the highest honours. The temple where it was kept, says Augustine, "was the most sacred and most reverenced of all the temples of Rome." The fire was regarded in the very same light as by the old Babylonian fire-worshippers." -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop
"The Epidaurian snake, that the Romans worshipped along with the fire that they worshipped, was looked on as the divine representation of Aesculapius, the child of the Sun. Aesculapius, whom that sacred snake represented, was evidently, just another name for the great Babylonian god." -The Great Red Dragon; Chapter VII The Two Babylons - Alexander Hislop
"The Romans looked upon fire as a god. As many of the religious forms of the Roman family had their counterpart in the State religion, so the worship of the fire in home had its counterpart in the State religion." -Eli Edward Burriss Washington Square College, New York University The Use and Worship of Fire among the Romans The Classical Weekly; Vol. 24, No. 6 (Nov. 17, 1930), pp43‑45. "The seat of the worship of Vesta in Rome was the circular 'Temple' of Vesta, shaped like a primitive hut. Here was the sacred fire of the State. Vesta was tended by six maiden priestesses, who renewed the fire every year, on March 1, from a spark formed by friction. There was no statue of Vesta in the 'temple': the fire was the goddess herself." -Eli Edward Burriss Washington Square College, New York University The Use and Worship of Fire among the Romans The Classical Weekly; Vol. 24, No. 6 (Nov. 17, 1930), pp43‑45.
"The Vestal Virgins were venerated priestesses of Vesta (the Roman goddess of the hearth fire) who could intervene on behalf of those in trouble. The vestal virgins lived in luxurious accommodations at state expense, and when they went out, fasces were carried before them. They wore distinctive dress and the hairstyle of a Roman bride. The Vestals' chief function was preservation of an undying fire (ignis inextinctus) in the shrine of Vesta, goddess of the hearth, but they had other functions as well. -Ancient/Classical History Six Vestal Virgins By N.S. Gill

| Rome Adopted "The Trinity" From The Pagans
Rome Adopted "The Trinity" From The Pagans the Trinity "is a corruption borrowed from the heathen religions, and ingrafted on the Christian faith." -Dictionary of Religious Knowledge "Christianity did not destroy paganism - it adopted it. . . . From Egypt came the idea of a divine trinity." -- (Historian Will Durant)
"The [pagan] trinities had all the prestige of a vast antiquity... The pagan converts therefore eagerly accepted the Trinity compromise, and the Apostate Church baptized it. Now at length we know its origin." --- John Newton (Origin of Triads and Trinities)
"The doctrine that Jesus Christ - the Son of God - was - God the son was decreed by worldly and ecclesiastical powers. Men were forced to accept it at the point of the sword or else, Thus, the error of the trinity was propounded to the end that ultimately people believed it to be the truth. Thus Christianity became in essence like 'Babylonian' heathenism, with only a veneer of Christian names." --- Forgers of the Word -1983 Victor Paul Wierwille Jehovah God was Traded For a Pagan Concept of a 3-in-one Mystery god
"So we see the earliest forms of various pagan religions were really deliberate rejections - of the One God, Jehovah. Their pagan doctrines were obviously lacking specific truths as they had departed from the true faith. The more that people crept away from faith in Jehovah God the more elaborate their concoctions became regarding their view of God, until a "trinity" of three persons was INVENTED." -- The Pagan Influence Upon the Development of the Doctrine of the Trinity -Michael F Blume
"The Papacy has in some of its churches, an image of the Triune God, with three heads on one body. The Babylonians had something of the same. So utterly idolatrous was the Babylonian recognition of the Triune Divine unity, that Jehovah - the Living God, had severely condemned his own people for giving any countenance to it." -Alexander Hislop The Two Babylons (pp. 16-19)."From ancient times - Mystery Babylon has tried to make God what he is NOT - A Trinity." -Jesus Messieh Fellowship The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor
Unlike early Christianity, which worshipped the Jewish God, Jehovah - The apostate Church adopted the Trinity god of the pagans which originated in Ancient Babylon.
"The trinity got its start in Ancient Babylon with Nimrod - Tammuz - and Semiramis. Semiramis demanded worship for both her husband and her son as well as herself. She claimed that her son, was both the father and the son. Yes, he was "god the father" and "god the son" - The first divine incomprehensible trinity." --The Two Babylons ; Alexander Hislop; p.51
The Chief god of almost all pagan religions - existed as a "Trinity" of Thee co-equal gods, or goddesses
The Trinity Doctrine was a Central Theme in Most Pagan Religions - Around the World.
Even the Pagan Celts - had Their Trinity god. The Triad Belief system Started in Ancient Babylon - with Nimrod - and spread its way around the Entire World.
Notice the SNAKE above - being pictured in this carving of Triune Worship among this Pagan teaching. The ancient serpent rears his ugly head - showing who is behind the "Trinity" concept of worship.
Even Europe provides Artifacts that confirm how Prevelant - Trinity Worship was - among most Ancient Pagan Civilizations.
Rome adopted the Trinity Concept from The pagans - who were most prevelant in the Empire. By making Christ into a Triad god, the pagans were pleased and willing to join in Rome's newly Created - Quasi-pagan Christendom.
"The cult that arose in Babylon and spread its cult tentacles throughout the world was trinitarian ." -- The Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop
"There were triads of gods..." -(Babylonian and Assyrian Religion, Norman, Okla.; 1963, S. H. Hooke, pp. 14-40)
"The Babylonian pagan worship of Nimrod, Semiramis, and the god-incarnate son extended throughout the entire world and eventually assumed the name of Trinitarian Christianity." - The Two Babylons, pp. 240-252. Alexander Hislop
"This cultivation of pagan philosophy by Christian teachers - greatly displeased those who were attached to the simple faith, as taught by Christ and His apostles; for they feared, what afterwards actually happened, that the purity and excellence of divine truth would suffer by it." -The Translator of Mosheim's Ecclesiastical History, James Murdock, D.D.,
Trinity Worship - Began in Ancient Babylon And Spread Around the World
"The trinity got its start in Ancient Babylon with Nimrod - Tammuz - and Semiramis. Semiramis demanded worship for both her husband and her son as well as herself. She claimed that her son, was both the father and the son. Yes, he was "god the father" and "god the son" - The first divine incomprehensible trinity." --The Two Babylons ; Alexander Hislop; p.51
"Babylon was, at that time, the center of the civilized world; and thus Paganism...had opportunities of sending forth its debased counterfeit of the truth to all the ends of the earth." - Hislop, A., The Two Babylons, Loiseaux Brothers, Neptune, N.J. pg 99.
Nimrod of Ancient Babylon Invented the Very First Trinity
Nimrod was the First Human to openly oppose Jehovah God. Nimrod wanted worship for himself, his son and his wife. Nimrod married his own mother - and attempted to hide this fact - by saying his was both "The Father" and "The Son". His mother and wife, Semiramis was given titles like "Queen of Heaven" and the "Mediatrix" between god and men. Nimrod demanded worship for himself as "God - The Father" and "God - The Son". And yet, he insisted that there were not two gods, but rather a two in one, co-equal divine arrangement.
Nimrod's rebellion against Jehovah God, was instigated by Satan. And to reward Nimrod - this pagan God-Son equality / Trinity was spread around the entire earth.
Jesus preached the original Jewish concept, of One Divine Being, namded "Jehovah" God. Jesus prayed to Jehovah and asked for His help.
Jesus obeyed Jehovah and always remained in subjection to God's commands.
The earliest of Christ's Followers were all worshippers of the monotheistic God, Jehovah
"...the early Christians taught the monotheistic views of the Jews." -Hagen History of Doctrines, vol. i., p. 124
"As a follower of Christ, Peter used Gods name, Jehovah. When Peters speech was put on record the Tetragrammaton (YHWH / Jehovah) was here used according to the practice during the first century B.C.E. and the first century C.E." - Paul Kahle; Studia Evangelica, edited by Kurt Aland, F. L. Cross, Jean Danielou, Harald Riesenfeld and W. C. van Unnik, Berlin, 1959, p. 614 (See App 1C §1.) ROME CORRUPTED CHRISTIANITY
When Rome took over the religion of those who followed Christ - Rome corrupted it - by adopting many pagan practices, beliefs, and worship.
Hence, the trinity of the pagans was among the many things that Rome Adopted.
"In the year 325 A.D. was perpetrated one of the most colossal frauds and deceptions in the annals of history. This was the date of the Council of Nicea, whose task it was to create a new religion that would be acceptable to Emperor Constantine..." -"The Historical Apollonius Versus the Mythical Jesus" By: Dr. R. W. Bernard, Ph.D. "In the year 325 A.D. was perpetrated one of the most colossal frauds and deceptions in the annals of history. W. Bernard, Ph.D. "The Council of Nicea was a pivotal event in the history of Christianity. The sudden adoption of a quasi-philosophic term to define the historic Jesus as equal to God was a major departure from scripture.... Further, the use of this term "trinity" in a Creed meant that, from 325 on, Nicenes could and did proclaim other dogmas that have no basis in Scripture." - -State Church of the Roman Empire; Ben H. Swett; 1998 The "Trinity" Began in Ancient Babylon with Nimrod
"Bel (Lord) was the oldest and mightiest of the gods of Babylonia, one of the earliest trinities. He was "Lord of the World. The "doctrine of the Trinity" is first met northeast of the Indus; and, tracing it to Asia Minor and Europe, one recognizes it among every people who had anything like an established religion. It was taught in the oldest Chaldean, Egyptian, and Mithraic schools. The Chaldean Sun-god, Mithra, was called "Triple" and the trinitarian idea of the Chaldeans was a doctrine of the Akkadians who, themselves, belonged to a race which was the first to conceive a metaphysical trinity. According to the archeologist Rawlinson, the Chaldeans were a tribe of the Akkadians who lived in Babylonia from earliest times..." - THEOSOPHY, Vol. 52, No. 6, April, 1964 (Pages 175-182) THE CHALDEAN LEGEND
"At first, the Trinity doctrine was merely humanism, the man, Nimrod making himself god. The first humanism trinity of record to be setup and worshiped as gods, was that of Nimrod, Simeramus, and Tammuz.. These are in the Old Testament in the Canaanite language identified as Baal, Ashtoreth, and Tammuz. At the dispersion of the people at the Tower of Babel, this trinity doctrine of humanism was spread all over the world. Each religion of all the pagan religions held two common traits: 1.) A trinity of gods and; 2.) These were in a form of human gods." ---Jesus Messieh Fellowship The Trinity Doctrine Is Pagan By Cohen G. Reckart, Pastor
"Long ago - right after the Flood, a man named Nimrod emerged on the scene of history. His name means "let us rebel". He led the founding of the first great civilization – Babylon... He led the people to rebel against God. Nimrod had tremendous power, so much that he became a god in the eyes of the people. When he died, his wife, Semiramis, recognized that without him she might loose power herself, so she devised a clever plan. Semiramis was pregnant. She told everyone that the child in her womb was none other than Nimrod being reborn. This was the beginning of the greatest perversion... the concept of father/son deity, the very first incomprehensible divine trinity (the unexplainable mystery)..." - - Resurrection Sunday and the Babylonian Connection; By Errol Hale
His awful greatness was of ambitious rebellion, apostasy and defiance of Jehovah God. And as it was Babel that was the beginning of his empire, so is ‘Babylon the great’ its consummation and close." -- Nimrod by Horatius Bonar 1808-1889
